I find it difficult to tell which one of your memes are actual screenshots and which are edited
Every single meme I post on my account is a fake edited screenshot, they're all made by me.
Guest submissions are mentioned in the caption.

How do you make those memes?
For the dialogues, I use the Death Generator. I use screenshots from The Let's Play Archive, and use Sprites INC for all the Sprites. Occasionally, I use Photoshop's save for web function to add that 16-32 bit effect on elements like posters, TV, or fake mugshots/sprites.
There's a full guide on the Subreddit if you would like to make your own memes! I use Photoshop myself, but it can be done using pretty much any software; MSPaint, Paint.NET, GIMP, Preview, etc.

What's with the occasional grammar errors and strange English wording on your memes?
I'd like to say it's me poking fun at the localization of the games, but in reality it's just the fact that English is not my first language and I will make mistakes sometimes.

I post my memes on the Subreddit and my Tumblr as well, all links to the social channels that I posts the memes on can be found here. I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with social media so I don't really feel like joining BlueSky, Threads, etc.

Have you considered adding a watermark to your memes?
This thought and receiveed advice has crossed my mind long before I started the pages and just posted the memes around the net myself. My memes have been getting reposted since the beginning and although it would be nice to receive some credit, I also just love the fact that I have created something that has been circulating the web and going semi-viral at times (within the Mega Man community at least)
Seeing all those inside jokes like DOOM or Deez Guts circulating around the web like it's my own Bass.EXE is really fun to see! Especially some seemingly look convincing enough to be legitimate screenshots!
Nevertheless, I do appreciate it if you would credit me when you repost the memes, so other people can find more of them as well!
